BrandContent October Round-Up

And just like that another month is complete, here’s our top highlights from October…

1: Reaching for safety

Last month we teased a fun social project we’d been working on and now we’re pleased to announce it’s live!

Partnering with Veygo, we created a TikTok campaign to raise awareness of the Dutch Reach, a manoeuvre designed to protect cyclists from ‘dooring’ which happens when a driver opens their car door in the path of a cyclist.

Working closely with one of the UK’s best choreographers and the Veygo team we created a simple dance routine highlighting the Dutch Reach.

Our social and content assistant and resident influencer, Molly Geddes even took to the driver’s seat (pun intended) and featured in the official Veygo video which you can watch here.

2: Star of the month

Speaking of our resident TikTok-er, this month we presented Molly with our ‘Star of the Month’ award and a £50 Amazon voucher as a way to say thanks for going above and beyond in her role and exemplifying all the characteristics of a BrandContent team member.

Molly received the award for her unwavering enthusiasm and positivity with everything she works on – including dusting off her dancing shoes and agreeing to be the star of our TikTok campaign for Veygo.

3: Shortlist hattrick for BrandContent

In October we found out the exciting news that we’ve been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Content Marketing Association awards:

  • Best Use of Content within Media Relations
  • Best Use of Innovative Technology
  • Best Content Team

We’ve been named the ‘Best Small Content Agency’ for two years running by the Content Marketing Association so we’re looking forward to the results in a few weeks! We’ll be keeping our fingers and toes crossed for another win.

4: Time to celebrate

During October, we took some time out of the busy month to celebrate BrandContent’s sixth birthday.

Local lockdowns and social distancing rules meant this year’s celebration was a little different to how we would normally do things, but we managed to make the most of it with a virtual get together to show off our pizza-making skills.

With our own pizza making kits, we created some mouth-watering masterpieces which we enjoyed together over a video call.
