As we say goodbye to winter and hello to brighter and longer days, we’re looking back over some of our main highlights from February:
1: Discovering a true brand voice in America
We’ve been working with a US tech company to develop their tone of voice. We’ve had a busy month of online interviews and workshops with their team to really get to know them and help find their true brand voice.
We love working with international companies, and we won this project due to our experience helping other US tech companies on similar projects.
2: Dylan honours St David’s Day
To honour St David’s Day on 1 March we spent time throughout February creating a range of GIPHY images celebrating all things Welsh for our client Principality Building Society.
We designed a suite of GIFS featuring Principality’s children’s mascot, Dylan the Dragon. The GIFS included Dylan wearing traditional Welsh hats, waving Cymru flags, leeks and welsh cakes.
In just a few days, the Principality Building Society GIFS received over 426,000 views and were shared on Instagram by people celebrating St David’s Day all over the UK.
3: Cymraeg Gwaith
In February, our associate director, James Cuff completed a two-week Welsh course to help perfect his Welsh language skills. He said: “I’ve been studying Welsh since my daughter started a Welsh medium primary school and now that I’ve joined BrandContent, and am working with Welsh clients, I wanted to improve my ‘Cymraeg Gwaith’.
“As I haven’t been learning for very long, I didn’t think I was competent enough to join the ‘Defnyddio’r Cymraeg Gwaith’ course but the lovely people at Nant Gwrtheyrn gave me the confidence that I could do it. It was such a fun course. I learned loads and can’t wait to use, and share, my new vocabulary in work!”
4: New month, new ventures
We’re excited to share that we started working with not one, but two new clients in February!
We can’t give too much away at the moment but we’re looking forward to getting stuck in and working on some new creative projects for both PR and social.
