With schools back-in session and many workers returning to offices, we’re reflecting back over the last four weeks and how it was a busy end to the summer. Here are just a few highlights from August:

1: How news monitoring creates coverage and links

Every agency understands the importance of reading the news and staying up to date with what’s trending. This month we’ve been taking full advantage of the topics that have been hitting the headlines to get links and coverage for our clients.

In August, we secured almost 130 pieces of coverage and 122 links for our clients, by quickly responding to the news agenda and commenting on topics ranging from Storm Francis, to towing caravans.

2: It’s blinkin’ great

In July, we teased a new campaign that had us blinking more than we’d ever blinked before and this month the campaign went live!

Combining the continued rise and mass adoption of augmented reality with Principality’s commitment to digital, we created an AR filter on Instagram to support the organisation’s launch on social media.

It was a no-brainer to tap into the appeal of Principality’s mascot, Dylan the Dragon, and so we created a game that allowed people to control Dylan by blinking to help him fly and save coins on his journey.

This was an exciting campaign to be a part of for many reasons, one of them was the opportunity to use AR. It’s a great technology that allows brands to create more immersive experiences for their consumers.

3: Ideas, ideas and more ideas

August has been an incredibly creative month for the team as we’ve turned our weekly coffee mornings into virtual team ideation sessions. For an hour every week, we sit and brainstorm about everything and anything you can think of.

Ideas for social, content, campaign assets, digital PR hooks and even TikTok – you name it, we’ve talked about it.

We can’t wait to get really stuck in and turn these ideas into reality!

4: Welcoming a new member of the BrandContent Family

Congratulations to our CEO, Sharon Flaherty, and her partner Dan on the birth of their beautiful baby boy Reuben at the beginning of the August!
